Watch as Jasprit Bumrah uses a toe-crushing yorker to rattle Ollie Pope’s stumps

On the second day of the second Test match at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam, Premier India pacer Jasprit Bumrah rattled Ollie Pope’s stumps with a deadly toe-crushing yorker. The spearhead of the Indian speed attack, Bumrah, once again shown his talent and skill on a pitch that offered little support to the fast bowlers.

In Hyderabad, on the fifth ball of the 28th over, Bumrah removed Pope, who had hit an England match-winning blow. Pope was similarly well-prepared for Vizag, having faced a deadly yorker from Bumrah that shook his stumps after he had faced 54 balls.

In the meanwhile, Bumrah delivered a great over in the 26th over to dismiss Root, using his incredible in- and out-swingers to create a wonderful set-up. With a ball that veered away from Root and forced an edge off his bat, the Indian pacer defeated Root.

In response to India’s first innings score of 396 all out on the second day of the second Test here on Saturday, England was 155 for four at tea.

Ben Stokes (5) and Jonny Bairstow (24) were at the crease at the interval.

With a 78-ball score that included two sixes and eleven fours, Zak Crawley gave England a strong start.

However, Jasprit Bumrah (2/27) claimed two wickets, while Axar Patel (1/24), Kuldeep Yadav (1/30), and Kuldeep Yadav (1/30) each claimed one to put the visitors in trouble.

Earlier in the second Test, England’s openers came out swinging on day two as England’s opener Yashasvi Jaiswal smashed his maiden Test double century to lead India to 396 all out.

With 15-year-old Zak Crawley and 17-year-old left-hander Ben Duckett smashing six boundaries between them in Visakhapatnam, the visitors reached 32-0 at lunchtime.

The hosts are up in the five-match series 1-0, while England is down by 364 runs.

After rejoining the game at 179, left-hander Jaiswal destroyed rookie spinner Shoaib Bashir for a six and four to surpass 200 in the first session. James Anderson, a seasoned fast bowler, eventually got Jaiswal out for his third wicket.
